About Secuba
Ethical understated jewellery, handmade in Hampshire
I started making jewellery because I wanted to be sure that the pieces I wear and gift are sourced and made as ethically as possible. That is why I only use sustainably sourced materials in everything I make; from the jewellery to the packaging.
The only new stones I use are lab created and I only use natural stones if they are sourced secondhand or reclaimed from old jewellery. My aim is to limit my impact as far as possible on the planet, and that includes not carving up the earth and wasting precious resources to make jewellery.
I believe that jewellery should be worn by anyone who wants to wear it. I make no distinction between 'men's' or 'women's' jewellery - it's just jewellery and anyone can wear it. I can make any of my rings in any size needed - just let me know.
I take my inspiration from the clean, uncluttered lines of Scandinavian and mid-century design, so there is a vintage feel to my work. It also carries a sense of straightforward and un-fussy style which I hope you enjoy. I think my work makes a quiet statement in its simplicity.
All my pieces are designed and handmade by me in my workshop. When you buy a piece from Secuba, you know it has been ethically and responsibly sourced; it was made by me and comes in fully recyclable and reusable packaging.
I don't carry everything in stock and some pieces are made to order. If you see something you like but not in the right size, let me know and I will make it to the size you need. All my main collection rings are available in all sizes. Rings using secondlife stones may only available in the sizes listed due to the availability of the stones themselves.
Thanks for stopping by!
Alex.
